Orange United Methodist Church has a rich tradition of worship and music. The OUMC Music Ministries is filled with opportunities for every skill level. If you are interested in any of the music ministries, contact Derek Breshears in our Music Ministries Department. We look forward to worshiping with you through our Music Ministries Program.
Our Chancel Choir sings anthems at the 11:00am worship service each Sunday. They also provide special music for Easter and Christmas. All voices are welcome! The Chancel Choir practices on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:45pm. Childcare is provided for Wednesday evening practices. If you've been thinking about being a part of our Chancel Choir, then join us on Aug. 10 for rehearsal. We welcome all new voices!!
On Easter Sunday 2011, our Chancel Choir performed Jesus Saves. To listen to this amazing performance, click here!
Other selections that have been sung in the past by our Chancel Choir are listed here.
For those of you who are withholding your musical gifts from Orange, please consider joining us when you can. Music is a vital part of worship, and it's all for the glory of God's Kingdom. Imagine the impact of a chancel packed shoulder-to-shoulder with spirit-filled folks making a joyous noise together. You can help make that vision a reality.
Pathways Contemporary Worship Praise Band
The Pathways Praise Band leads the music at the 9:00am worship service. The Praise Band consists of guitarists, drummers, keyboard players, and vocalists. The service included elements such as video, drama and live music that is a lively mix of old and new songs, which are all led by the Praise Band. They practice on Thursdays from 7:00pm-9:00pm, and Sunday morning at 8:00am. Contact Gary Mitchell, Pathways Worship Leader, if you'd like to know more.
Orange Pealers Handbell Choir
The Orange Pealers practice from August through May each year on Sundays from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Sanctuary. During the summer, they rehearse on Monday evenings at 6:30pm. They play primarily at the 11:00am worship service, but hope to expand our outreach! The ability to read music is not required and all ages are welcome to join!
