OUMCYOUTH is the mid and senior high youth ministry of Orange United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill.

OUMCYOUTH is family. It's a place where students can come together and connect with one another and with God.We are here to reach people with the truth of the Gospel (that's the good news of Jesus and what he did for all of us),to build people up in their relationship with God, and to send them out to help others become life long believers in Jesus. So, we get together to worship God with some pretty incredible music, to study the bible to figure out how to live a powerful life, and to have a great time connecting with one another. If you are looking for strong friends who will help you through life, some practical advice on how to live life well, and a place where you can let your guard down a bit and just enjoy, then OUMCYOUTH is for you.

OUMCYOUTH has a main weekly gathering on Sundays nights. We have great food for $2 followed sometimes by games or general hang-out time. After that we usually have a variety of things such as live music, dramas, videos, and discussions on real life issues.

Other opportunites exist with OUMCYOUTH LifeGroups. These groups meet throughout the week and have a different focus whether it be fellowship or Bible Study. LifeGroups are a fantastic place to connect in a smaller group for spiritual growth.

Of course we go on trips as well. Sometimes they are just for fun like trips to play paintball or skating. Other events include weekend retreats to the beach or skiing in the mountains that also have a spiritual focus. If you are in to the outdoors you can hook up with our Venture Crew for some great camping trips or even travel the world with our awesome missions program.
